1. Games

The short version of how Wednesday nights run. Questions go to the commissioner.

1.1 Length#

Games are 40 minutes: two 20-minute halves.

1.2 Times and courts#

Tip-offs at 6:30, 7:20 and 8:10 PM on two courts at Danbury PAL.

1.3 Sessions#

Sessions run about 15 weeks, year-round: Fall, Winter and Spring/Summer.

2. Fouls

To keep late-game situations safe, fouls in the final two minutes of each half are shot.

2.1 First half, under 2:00#

One-and-one for the fouled player.

2.2 Second half, under 2:00#

Two free throws for the fouled player.

3. Substitutes

Rosters are small, so subs keep games from being forfeited. Teams pick their own subs, in good faith, and should choose players they have not already played with. A sub should mirror the missing player in skill, height or position.

3.1 Four or fewer players#

Add subs to reach six.

3.2 Five players#

One sub is allowed only if the opposing team has seven.

3.3 Both teams at five#

Subs only by mutual agreement.

3.4 Sub stats#

Sub appearances are recorded in the box score and count toward a player's season totals and the league leaders.

4. Fees & sign-ups

Two divisions, Over 30 and Over 50, play year-round at the Danbury PAL building.

4.1 Session fee#

$225 per session, or $260 with a jersey.

4.2 Joining#

Sessions fill quickly and the league regularly runs a waiting list. Call (203) 788-1691 or join the waiting list at https://forms.gle/TTThKx1qma8cdt9BA and the commissioner will follow up when a spot opens.
